Privacy Policy

1. What we store

When you use RankTopApp we store:

• Account: your email address, nickname, profile photo, theme choice, notification settings, and your invite code.
• App listings: the stores' public details for apps you list (name, icon, category, description, link) and your testing notes.
• Tests: install screenshots, store-review screenshots, your review text and rating, private feedback, and the dates and decisions for each test.
• Messages and support: chat messages, dispute messages, support tickets, and the images you attach.
• Credits: a ledger of every credit you earn, reserve, spend, or receive as a bonus.
• Payments: purchase records (pack, amount, tax, date, Stripe reference). Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store them.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and logs that help us keep the service safe and fix bugs.

2. How we use it

We use your data to run the service: sign you in, match testers with apps, move credits, show proof to the right developer, handle disputes and support, process payments, send service emails, and stop abuse and fraud. Where the law needs a legal basis, it is our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a safe service, your consent (for tips and offers emails), or a legal duty.

3. Who can see what

• Everyone signed in can see your nickname, profile photo, when you were last active, and your test and review counts.
• A developer can see the screenshots, review, and feedback you send for their app.
• Our team can see your account, tests, and messages when we handle a dispute, report, or support request.
• We never sell your personal data.

4. Services we use

We share data with companies that help us run RankTopApp, only as needed for that job:

• Supabase: our database and sign-in.
• Cloudflare: hosting, file storage, bot protection (Turnstile), and email sending.
• Stripe: payments.
• Anthropic: an AI model checks install and review screenshots to help spot fakes. Images are sent only for that check.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies we need: your sign-in session, your theme choice, and a short-lived invite code if you arrive from an invite link. We don't use advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep it

• Account data: while your account is open, and up to 30 days after you ask us to delete it.
• Screenshots and reviews: up to 12 months after a test ends, unless a dispute or report needs them for longer.
• Support tickets and disputes: up to 24 months after they close.
• Credit ledger and purchase records: up to 7 years, because accounting and tax rules require it.
• Server logs: up to 90 days.

7. Your choices and rights

You can see and edit your profile and notification settings in Settings. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to limit how we use it. You can turn off emails in Settings and unsubscribe from tips and offers at any time. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Deleting your account

To delete your account, email hello@ranktopapp.com from your sign-in address (there is a button in Settings). We will remove your profile, apps, screenshots, and messages within 30 days. We keep records we must keep by law, such as purchases. Remaining credits are lost when the account is deleted, because they have no cash value.

9. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security in our database. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. When they do, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where the law requires them.

11. Children

RankTopApp is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has an account, tell us and we'll remove it.

12. Changes and contact
